Lead Buyer

Large Medical Supply Distributor located in Santa Fe Springs is looking for a Lead Buyer.  We are continuously growing and are currently seeking a Lead Buyer to join our Purchasing team.  This position will serve as back up to Purchasing Manager and will have dotted line responsibility for the day to day operations of the Purchasing Staff.

 

Job Description:

 

·  Runs recommended order reports and formulates orders

·  Finds products at most cost efficient manner

·  Places orders

·  Follows up and confirms order has been received

·  Handles and resolves pricing discrepancies

·  Meets with vendors

·  Works with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies

·  Works with warehouse staff

 

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

·  High School graduate some college preferred

·  Minimum 5 years prior healthcare purchasing experience

·  Minimum 2 years experience with a Purchasing I.T System

·  Able to use Excel and Word proficiently

·  Ability to manage multiple projects with little to no supervision

·  Ability to assess and prioritize work appropriately

·  Ability to manage and supervise people

·  Good people skills

·  Ability to read and write business English proficiently

·  Ability to read and decipher contracts and pricing agreements
