Interior Systems Inc., a nationally renowned manufacturer of seating and decor products for the Restaurant, Retail and Education markets has an immediate opening for an Expeditor in our Santa Fe Springs production facility.

Under the direction of the Sr. Buyer, the Expeditor performs a variety of duties to acquire, inventory and distribute materials in the most efficient and cost effective manner while meeting the company's delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities include, calling on any late purchase orders, negotiate new dates, update system and communicate with the parties affected. 

 

Confirm all completed orders had materials properly issued and purchase orders properly received to allow for a smooth work order close process.  Call on any “hot” items as required by internal customers (Project Management and Manufacturing).

 

Will obtain proofs of delivery for direct shipped purchase orders, receive on system if possible or route to accounting.

 

Perform weekly cycle count analysis and enter SMU sheet information daily.  Data entry as required to maintain database.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to interpret shipping documents, invoices, packing slips, computer generate ordering and inventory documents and be able to maintain accurate records.  Competency in basic inventory/purchasing software such as UNIX, AS400,  M2K.  Familiar with Microsoft programs is desired, specifically Outlook

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a High School diploma/GED and at least 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment interacting with vendors; or combination of education and experience.
