Position Description:

We are seeking a seasoned IT Procurement professional as Category Manager-Operational Services. This position reports into Chevron's Information Technology group and manages global contracts and preferred supplier relationships while developing and implementing related category plans and strategies.

In this position responsibilities include managing the procurement process for Chevron's enterprise-wide requirements for spend category. Processes include: supplier governance, global market research, price/cost analysis, industry trends, commodity best practices and industry benchmarking. Category responsibilities include: Telecom, Network, Application Development & Maintenance outsourcing, Help Desk Services and Desktop Support. You will also establish short and long-term procurement strategies for spend category while being directly accountable for the successful implementation and execution of the corporate-wide strategies and the subsequent delivery of significant savings to the company for the spend category while acting as an internal change agent through fact-and knowledge-based influencing.

You will support the implementation of Chevron procurement strategy & business plan, coordinates the procurement of services and materials within the IT Operational Services category group. You will be responsible for achieving procurement objectives and targets while supervising a team of four direct reports which include the Global Capability Manager, Category Manager - Outsourced Services/Telecom and Operational Services Category Specialists and providing work direction to the groups Business Analysts.


Qualifications:

• 10 plus years of solid experience in the areas of supply chain management with knowledge in sourcing and supplier management processes.
• BS or BA degree desirable
• Must have previous track record on benchmarking and cost management with experience in managing outsourcing relationships.
• Must have prior experience in managing supply chains and using innovative ways to standardize, streamline, and optimize the supply chain.
