Publishing Manager

Major duties of this position include:

Create and manage the publishing production project plan for all products.
Recruit and train desktop publishing contractors during peak production cycles.
Assist the Director of Education Technology and the VP of Course Development in the preparation of departmental budgets.
Maintain publishing production budgets and sustain established costs.
Establish procedures and standards for consistent development of publishing procedures.
Consistently evaluate all production tools, technologies, and processes for process-improvement and cost reduction.
Coordinate with the Multimedia Production Manager and A/V Production Manager in development and maintenance of cross-training projects for all staff.

Required Minimum Experience:

Applicant should have 3-5 years project management experience.  Applicant should have excellent attention to detail and should be able to independently manage a full staff on various projects with minimal supervision under very tight deadlines.  Organizational and resource management skills are an absolute must.  Applicant must have experience with MS Word in a publishing environment.
