Proofreader

Juriscape, a rapidly growing group of companies dedicated to helping legal professionals obtain employment, is seeking a proofreader/editor for its Pasadena, CA, office.  Ideally, we are looking for a college graduate who has a passion for perfect text and can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment.  You will be responsible for proofreading articles, press releases, newsletters, and advertisements, among other items, for our print and online endeavors.  You must possess superior grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills and pass a difficult written test.  Additionally, you must be able to multitask and prioritize assignments.  You will be doing very little original or creative writing; this is almost exclusively a proofreading position.  Only those who can identify the error(s) in this paragraph will be granted an interview.Please do not apply to this position if you do not know the foundations of grammar, e.g., what a subordinate conjunction is.  Submit a cover letter and your grammatically perfect resume to: thomas@bcgsearch.com .  If there is a single grammatical mistake or typo in your resume or cover letter, you will not be considered.
