National Math Consultant

This is a Home Based position that can be located anywhere in the US, preferably  in Texas, California or Northeast.

The National Mathematics Consultant will be a key member of Harcourt Achieve’s National Accounts group. The focus of this group is to participate at all levels in large revenue opportunities for the Company in partnership with the Regional Vice Presidents and National Sales Managers. Opportunities will be pursued with field sales and independently through the building and cultivating of high level relationships with educational leaders in Math education and at the Building, District, and State administration levels. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, National Accounts.

The National Mathematics Consultdant will:
- Create and conduct customized workshops and sales/product presentations with a focus on large/urban district markets, larger suburban districts, and adoption states that hold opportunity for large revenue generation.
- Through a variety of high level meetings (conferences, workshops, District visits), develop and maintain relationships with senior level personnel who may be influential in supporting our math initiatives.
- Present both professional and product-related sessions at National conferences.
- Partner with Consultant Mangers to coordinate and deliver training sessions for field consultants.
- Serve as a senior liaison with Math Marketing and Editorial to ensure that materials developed are consistent with curriculum and market demands and support the message presented to customers.
- Assume a lead role during National Sales Meetings in planning, coordinating, and presenting product, competitive information, and market intelligence sessions.
- Support our Professional Development unit in crafting math-related Professional Development courses and messaging.

Bachelor's Degree required. Preference is for an advanced degree. Math content knowledge required.
Three to five years as a consultant in Educational publishing with proven results in driving the sales process.
Classroom teaching experience with District Administration experience a plus.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and strong presentation and organizational skills required.
Computer skills must include strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, use of a laptop.
Extensive travel is expected, 75% national travel.
Bilingual ability a plus.
