Sr Project Manager - T&D Strategies
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or related field: or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, and experience. Must possess a minimum of seven years experience managing projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance. Must demonstrate the ability to consult with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results. Must demonstrate a broad knowledge of transmission and distribution processes. Demonstrated experience performing process improvements including illustrating the "as is" and "to be" business process, identifying value and non value-added business processes via process assessment. Must have excellent communication skills, and be customer focused, to appropriately identify and respond to clients business needs, facilitate the presentation of recommendations, and effectively present complex and/or technical information to a wide audience. Demonstrate the ability to accurately analyze information, make strategic project management decisions, develop sound recommendations, and guide others' decision making associated with the project, including the potential benefits, consequences, and impact. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
Typical Responsibilities:
This Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for developing strategic plans aligned with corporate and Transmission & Distribution Business Unit strategic plans. The senior project managers will work with the Process Centered Management Team, help develop process ownership responsibilities, methodologies and toolkits; and help implement specific sub-process ownerships as needed. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams and will provide impetus and oversight for various projects and initiatives. Successful candidate will be required to make decisions based on economic, technical and business strategies to further the meeting of business unit and corporate business goals, and may be called to develop new business policies and strategies. The successful candidate will be part of a small staff team that will be responding to short and long term strategic needs of the business unit.
