Senior Regulatory Project Manager
Job Requirements:
Candidates for this position are required to possess a Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Political Science, Economics or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will possess seven or more years experience in organizational programs, contract management, or general rate case management plus five or more years of supervisory or project management experience. Must have demonstrated success in leading cross functional teams. Must have demonstrated experience as a competent project manager with all the necessary skills including coordinating activities and resources, leading, planning, organizing, scheduling, prioritizing, resolving conflicts, identifying issues and resolutions and achievement of results. The candidate will have 2-4 years of regulatory experience with CPUC of FERC regulatory issues and demonstrated experience to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external clients. The candidate will also possess experience to lead, plan, prioritize, and respond to a wide range of regulatory requirements related to major regulatory proceedings involving CSBU programs and operations before the CPUC, FERC, and CEC and other regulatory agencies. The candidate will have a solid understanding of utility finance and ratemaking principles, the state regulatory, legislative, and utility retail environment and strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. The candidate will also have demonstrated strong computer skills with a variety of programs including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience to lead project teams under severe time constraints and sometimes ambiguous conditions or situations and develop creative, innovative solutions to complex issues.

Typical Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the direct leadership of several cross functional teams of operations, regulatory, legal, and financial experts to develop CSBU testimony, exhibits, work papers, etc. for the General Rate Case and other major regulatory projects and proceedings such as AMI, distributed generation, and other high profile regulatory projects. Responsibilities also include the identification and resolution of CSBU policies and strategies to be reflected in the general rate case filing and other major regulatory proceedings involving CSBU. In leading the GRC cross-functional teams and various regulatory projects, this position will also identify and integrate cross-cutting issues within CSBU exhibits and have responsibility for timely CSBU responses to various discovery requests from ORA and other interested parties. This position will provide regulatory support for CSBU witnesses, the hearing process and the briefing process for both phases of the GRC cycle. This position will also be responsible for leading, planning, prioritizing CSBU regulatory requirements and efforts resulting from the GRC, AMI, distributed generation and other high profile regulatory projects involving CSBU operations and costs.
