Our client, Orco Property Group, is a leading investor, developer, asset and fund manager in the Central European real estate and hospitality market, where it has operated since 1991. It is developing in a number of countries, including mainly the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Croatia, Germany and Slovakia, and is continually analyzing investments in new territories. It is listed on the Paris and Prague Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of about EUR 700 million and total assets of approximately EUR 1 billion.
Orco Property Group is considered one of the most striking success-stories in this part of Europe, as it is now more than 1,200 employees strong. It is further characterized by a multi-cultural management team (English, French, American, German, Belgian, and all Central European nationalities.)
In order to strengthen its management team, Orco Property Group is now looking for a senior business executive to take the position of Regional Development Manager, based in Prague, Czech Republic. The position is attached to the Vice President and board member of the group in charge of New Countries (Germany, Croatia, Russia, etc) and Hospitality, based in Prague.
Key responsibilities
His/her responsibilities include:
- together with the Vice President, other members of top management and the local team, overseeing the definition of new projects in terms of positioning, budget, schedule and team-building (architects, designers, etc), including contract negotiation,
- follow up reporting for top management on the activity of local project managers in Germany (with a particular focus on Berlin), Croatia and Russia,
- overseeing real estate management issues (rental, costs, etc) of an office and light industrial portfolio in Berlin.
The Regional Development Manager fully ‘prepares’ subjects for the VP and is in full charge of their implementation after the decision is validated.
The Regional Development Manager will be an integral member of the top management team (20 nationalities, average age 35) and will interact closely with the different heads in Germany, Croatia, Russia and Central Europe. He/she will follow the implementation of top management impulses and decisions within the company and be an informational link/interface to other participants in the development process.
Essential skills and experience
- University education
- Native or excellent English, written and spoken
- Good command of German would be an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of real estate investment
- Architectural/design background appreciated
- Legal and contractual (drafting/revising contracts) experience
Qualities required
- Ability to think in ‘business terms’ – i.e. with a view to returns but also outside the box, with an entrepreneurial spirit,
- Some strong personal or professional achievement to date,
- Ability to link business, architecture and project management,
- Adaptable to different countries, activities and situations,
- Structured and rigorous: follows schedules and procedures.

Work location: Prague. Frequent travelling required in Germany, Croatia and Russia, among other countries.
