MGR VOLUNTEER SVCS

1. Manages Volunteer Services efficiently organizing systems and people around volunteer support and community activities. Develops and implements new programs and systems in response to changing needs of the hospital. Researches and evaluates opportunities for new or modified volunteer programs to respond to changing hospital needs and rapidly changing volunteer market.
2. Researches, plans and implements volunteer programs, setting up clear systems and procedures so services can be accessed efficiently. This includes recognition programs. Responsible for overall operations of Hospital Gift Shop. Consult with and act as a liaison between Guild and Administration.
3. Manages 2 FTE's, 1 PTE, and 300 volunteers. Manages entire recruitment/placement process for volunteers, adhering to regulatory guidelines and responding efficiently to volunteer preferences and managerial requests. Assures that standards of performance are maintained for Volunteer Services.
4. Manages two budgets within standards and maintains/tracks statistics concerning volunteer service cost and efficiency.
5. Participates in professional organizations to maintain and/or raise profile of CHW volunteer services and enhance education concerning volunteer trends.


Experience: Minimum five years experience directly related to working with persons over 55 years. Hospital and/or non-profit organization experience required.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Public Relations or related field highly preferred.
Specialized
Training: Coursework related to gerontology and social work.
Licensure: California Driver's License required.

Reports to: SVP, Business Development
Supervises: Gift Shop, Front Desk staff
