Contracts Specialist

This position is responsible for the cost effective supplier contracting of Telecommunications Projects.

Responsibilities for this position include negotiation of complex contractual terms and conditions with Telecommunications suppliers, development of comprehensive statements of work based on multiple requirement origins including internal Legal and client requirements, and supporting clients of all major business units across a broad geographic area.

Accountable for the results of contract negotiations involving complex business objectives. Serves as a vital interface to internal customer and senior management as a recognized source of expertise for all contracts activities.

Demonstrates strong knowledge and experience in contract management, licensing, and procurement. Project Management skills and Finance skills including analysis techniques, and activity based costing methodologies are a plus. Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy. Exceptional oral/presentation, writing, and computer skills are required. Exceptional problem solving skills, exceptional organizational skills in a high workload environment, strong initiative, and minimal supervision are also required.


Position Requirements: Responsible for the development and coordination of activities related to contracts. Responsibilities may include program development, ensuring that contracts adhere to organizational standards. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 2 years of work experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the financial field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
