Product Manager @ OC Software Company

Product Management is responsible for defining and communicating the strategic path of both current and future products as well as being engaged in the day-to-day decisions regarding product requirements and delivery.  In this role, you will be a key player in providing end-to-end product management support for the MAS 90, MAS 200 or MAS 500 product lines.  This includes managing products and services through the development cycle as well as working with product marketing, product development and management to achieve revenue and profit goals.

 

You must have proven experience in developing strategy and translating strategy into actionable product requirements and plans for product development.  You will then continue to work closely with product development to ensure delivery of the necessary innovation and customer value.  In all phases of the process, you will be looked to as the business owner and be expected to determine clear prioritization and appropriate trade-offs regarding implementation issues based upon understanding constraints, dependencies, costs, resources and customer benefits.

 

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will have the following key responsiblities:
Determine and evaluate new opportunities to increase revenues and profits.
Define product strategy and product roadmaps with clear objectives and long-term vision.
Coordinate and analyze market research to understand customer behavior, product satisfaction, and emerging business opportunities.
Identify product enhancements that balance a favorable return on investment with customer needs.
Work with prospects, customers and partners to define product requirements and functionality
Team with the engineering group to build understanding of product requirements and steer the product through the engineering process
Identify and drive partnerships for products
Collaborate with various departments to ensure product delivery and quality goals are achieved and maintained.
Engage in customer-facing activities such as customer conferences, customer visits and tradeshows.
Establish value proposition, positioning, pricing, and packaging for products to assist other areas of the organization in marketing and product delivery

· Build an in-depth knowledge of competitive software features and industry trends in the business management and ERP market place

· Develop solutions with other product managers in a collaborative manner

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in business, computers or communications is required.  MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.

 

This position requires 2 to 3+ years of traditional product management or related marketing experience as part of 7+ years of total technology, marketing or business management background.
