Product Manager

Scantron Corporation, trusted by both the educational and commercial markets, has an exciting opportunity to join our Data Collection Engineering team as a Product Manager.  The Product Manager will be a lead contributor to the success of specified product lines and be charged with most coordination aspects related to the assigned product lines.  This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company.  The product manager will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects.

Qualified candidates must be able to communicate with all areas and levels of the company.  He/She will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements.  The product manager will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.  He/She will also serve as go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. 

The product focus will be on imaging hardware and software that is used for form data capture, survey and testing solutions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  Coordinate product release timelines and on-going product delivery processes.Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning. Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute. Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product. Expertly demonstrates product features and applications with attention paid to real world implementationWorks with business development and sales teams on forecasts, training, and customer callsDevelop marketing programs, presentations, data sheets, and press releasesInterfaces on the behalf of customers with Sales, Technical Support and Development.


REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree Required or Equivalent Experience3+ years of software marketing/product management experience.Knowledgeable in technology.Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a plus. This position could require travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%).
