KAPCO I VALTEC operates warehouse facilities in Brea, CA and Essex, CT.  Through internal promotion and company growth, key Product Manager Positions have opened. Product Managers have responsibility for product lines at both locations. The PMA Product Manager position is located at the Brea, CA location. Moderate travel is required.

 

Job Description:

 

The Product Manager is a central position within the KAPCO I VALTEC organization that interfaces with all facets of the business, including Purchasing, Quality, Accounting, Sales and Customer Service.  The role of the Product Manager is to promote business with customers and develop product offerings from new and existing supplier resources.  In this pivotal role, you will have responsibility for:

 

ü Establishing pricing, profitability and marketing strategy in support of forecast sales.

ü Developing information for sales personnel to promote new product introductions.

ü Evaluate opportunities for increasing sales at new and existing customers.

ü Respond to customer inquiries and RFQ’s.

ü Provide technical support to internal and external customers.

ü Build and expand upon business relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.

ü Qualify new suppliers, both domestically and internationally.

 

Qualifications:

 

ü Prior manufacturing and/or distribution experience with commercial aerospace expendable components desired.

ü Knowledge of commercial airline MRO activities; an emphasis on engine and component maintenance is preferred.

ü Proficiency with data analysis programs such as MS Excel, as well as MS Office programs is necessary.

ü BSME, BS Business Administration or equivalent experience required.

ü Approximately 5-10% travel is expected.
