 SUMMARY

The Merchandise Planner is responsible for forecasting and maintaining dollar and unit plans, balancing inventory levels and ensuring stores have adequate amounts of product at all times. This position entails strict management of back stock inventory as well as in-store and dollar inventories.  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop, maintain and forecast dollar plans and unit plans for all key categories in your department

· Ensure proper allocation of merchandise to stores

· Communicate with stores on merchandise quantities and customer requests

· Maintain weekly reports

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of two years retail merchandise planning experience; previous allocation experience a plus

· Good computer skills (proficient with Excel)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be organized and have good time management skills

· 4 year college degree preferred
