Online Operations Associate (Consumer Products) - Santa Monica
This position is based in Santa Monica, CA.
Google has an immediate need for an energetic team player to help us better serve Google's worldwide user base for our consumer products such as Blogger, Google Desktop, Google Earth, orkut.com and Google News. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Google's products and a commitment to providing our end users with the best possible experience. He or she will have a strong passion for analyzing and improving products and the supporting operations.
As an Online Operations Associate, your main responsibilities are to be an advocate for one of these product's end-users, manage and deliver on strategic workflow improvement projects, and serve as a key liaison between Google's Operations, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities:Work with the Google Product, Engineering, Marketing and Operations teams in the development and launch of new product features, as well as internal productivity tools and processes.
Develop and manage the operational support plan for the launch of new products and features.
Closely monitor the release process, troubleshoot and escalate issues as required.
Develop and deliver training to the broader Online Operations teams.
Employ creative solutions to improve workflow, customer support, policy and procedures.
Actively solicit feedback internally and externally with respect to product needs and enhancements.
Collect and analyze data to support feature prioritization lists and product roadmaps.
Be the cross-functional champion of the product's user needs.
Provide analytical support to core product teams and drive initiatives as required.Requirements:BA/BS degree.
Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in customer support, product management, product marketing, or consulting.
Self-directed, motivated, and driven performer.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Significant problem solving and analytical capabilities.
Able to handle crisis situations quickly, inventively, and resourcefully.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to develop fact-based understanding of problems and design, implement, and follow through on action plans.
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
