EMAIL PRODUCT MANAGER

 

Pictage, the leader in online wedding photo sharing and ecommerce, is seeking a talented and experienced Email Marketing Manager to lead the redesign of its entire e-mail lifecycle program and revamp its e-mail campaigns. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years experience in high-volume, database driven e-mail marketing, having been responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of internet-based campaigns.

Position Summary:

Develop the strategy and oversee the implementation of e-mail marketing campaigns that increase customer acquisition and revenues. Successful candidate will report to the Senior Director of Product Management and must possess the ability to work closely with technology, product management and sales to develop, project, analyze, and communicate on direct marketing campaigns. Position requires in-depth knowledge of all aspects of email marketing combined with a proven track record of success.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

§  Develop strategy for launching an activity-based lifecycle program, based on understanding of customer lifecycle and key revenue drivers.

§  Manage technical and creative teams (internal and external) on email campaign development, deployments and maintenance.

§  Manage an e-mail marketing associate, who will be responsible for the execution of e-mail communications

§  Keep track of all key e-mail marketing metrics and perform analysis to optimize e-mail messaging and communications strategy

§  Develop e-mail marketing tests and track key performance data (e.g., e-mail opening and delivery, click through, registration, shopping cart behavior, sales). 

§  Perform in-depth audience analysis and segmentation to drive strategic program recommendations.

§  Manage and present data analysis and competitive analysis results and recommendations to management.

§  Analyze the external marketplace, customers, vendors, and competitors to determine the right communication strategy

§  Understand and evangelize the needs of Pictage customers

§  Manage prioritization and trade-offs across functional areas

§  Work with the Sr. Director of Product Management to define the global communication and promotion strategy

 

Requirements:

§  Five+ years e-mail marketing, product management or internet marketing experience. Ideally you acquired your experience working for leading consumer internet companies

§  Experience with quantitative/qualitative analysis techniques including the ability to create, analyze and report on ROI, CPA, etc.

§  Ability to create and manage creation of communication materials. Interact with internal web designers and product managers on development of messaging and design.

§   Hands-on experience with email campaign management software (such as Silverpop or DartMail) and statistical results reporting.

§  Experience with authentication and negotiating spam filters a plus.

§  Knowledge of statistical analysis a plus

§  MS Office skills (Access, Excel, etc.) and SQL query knowledge a plus.

§  Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

§  Ability to create financial models and other metrics to support decision making

§  Ability to effectively communicate and present to Sr. Management and cross functional business units such as Sales, Finance, Technology, and Marketing

§  Demonstrated ability to take initiative and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment

§  Outstanding communications skills and team player

 

Education:

§  BS/BA in Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.MBA preferred.
