Print Production and Finishing - 1st and 2nd Shifts

Job Description: Purpose / Role of Position: . Read a job ticket and understand steps required in the work flow. Document quality is checked before, during and after each production run of a job. Fully use all finishing equipment - cutter, folder, laminating, drilling, shrink wrap GBC etc.. Provide finishing services, eg. folding, envelope/binder insertion, stapling, stitching, shrink wrap, drilling, cutting. Operate standard bindery equipment. Clean and maintain equipment when necessary. Deliver output / Shipping. Follow Xerox policy and procedures. Troubleshoot and maintain finishing equipment. Perform maintenance and repair of high-frequency service call areas on specified equipment. Process production forms and maintain records. Customer contact for equipment service and repair. Engage and procure special materials and/or external services from appropriate third party suppliers to support job's requirements . Manage inventory, re-order and re-stock. Assist reporting responsibilities. Ensure resources are available during normal working hours to assure quick resolution of production or technical problems and maximize uptime. Knowledge of UPS system. General Knowledge of Honeywell's shipping capabilities. Monitor Machine Operation (Jobs in progress). Gather / Peruse Knowledge whenever possible (i.e. e-learning, peer training, etc-)
Essential Job Functions:. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Able to read, write and follow basic English instructions. Listen, understand & communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Basic keyboarding skills. Computer Skills:. Basic PC operation skills, Windows and web navigation. Use basic software applications-MS Word, Excel. Computer Skills - extensive use of PC - web access, scan files, import/export files. Navigate in Netscape and Internet Explorer.
