Personal Driver

Job Description:

This is a strictly part-time position at approximately 20-25 hours per week.  It is ideal for a retired individual looking to supplement their pension.  There are paid holidays, but no health benefits.  The successful candidate will have prior chauffeuring experience or extensive driving experience throughout Manhattan. Applicant would be required to pick client up in Southampton mid-morning on Mondays and bring her back into NYC.  Tuesdays and Wednesdays would be spent chauffeuring client to various appointments.  Thursday mornings client would be chauffeured back to Southampton. 



Duties:

* Prepares vehicle by conducting operator maintenance; cleaning interior and exterior; arranging for maintenance; reporting operating problems.



* Plans route and requirements by studying schedule or special request;  checking road conditions; estimating travel times allowing for weather and road conditions.


* Transports client by helping her in and out of vehicle; loading and unloading luggage; driving the vehicle.



* Fulfills special requests by picking up and delivering items.



* Maintains client confidence by keeping information confidential.

* Accomplishes transportation and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

* Must have knowledge of quick and safe route from NYC to Southampton.

 

* Must not be allergic to animals as client has two cats that travel back and forth to Southampton with her.
