Senior Associate - Forensic Advisory Services

We are currently seeking a KPMG ForensicSM Senior Associate to join us in our Phoenix office.

KPMG ForensicSM professionals assist organizations in their efforts to achieve the highest level of business integrity through the detection, prevention and investigation of fraud and misconduct. Our Forensic professionals strive to not only help our clients discover the facts underlying concerns about fraud and misconduct, but also assist clients in assessing their vulnerabilities to such activities, and in developing controls and programs to address these risks.


Responsibilities:

* Interact with clients and other external sources for the purpose of obtaining relevant information and documents
* Assist the client as they work to detect and prevent fraud in their business
* Assist in understanding the general risks faced by the client in a particular industry and the impact of those risks on an organization
* Collect information and documentation that may be treated as evidence
* Basic financial statement analysis, including balance sheet analysis and determining profitability
* Assist clients in understanding their internal control strengths and weaknesses
* Assist with tracing and uncovering assets
* Assist with evaluating compliance and ethics programs
* Work with the client engagement team to summarize, analyze and prepare analysis reports and findings in a clear and concise manner
* Assist in large-scale projects and programs




Qualifications:

* Three years of experience in auditing or accounting with a top ten public accounting firm, advisory firm or Fortune 500 organization
* Intermediate understanding in one or more of the following: sophisticated accounting transactions, fraud schemes, investigations, corporate filings, financial statements, or U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
* Strong analytical, research, sampling and quantitative abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to utilize spreadsheets and database management programs
* Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing work loads
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a similar discipline from an accredited college/university
* Moderate to extensive travel
