Multi-Task Technician Operations Support

The Multi-Task Technician Operations Support will play a key role in delivering operations and maintenance expertise in the areas of well and facility processes within an oilfield processing environment.


Accountabilities Include:

Assist in the preparation of and repair, installation and maintenance of typical oilfield production and processing equipment.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
Participate on the Northstar Emergency Response team.



Meet and maintain proficiency in Multi-Task Technician certification and compliance training requirements which include Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification and observance of Minerals Management Service (MMS) regulations.
Operate and trouble shoot corrective repairs or adjustments of oilfield wellheads, production equipment, and life support systems.


Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Multi-Task Technician Operations Support applicants must have:

Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in operations and maintenance, as well as experience as an operator, facility operator, multi-skill operator or maintenance technician in an oilfield processing facility, refinery, or chemical plant, or well site.
Experience operating large scale refrigeration and refrigerant distribution systems, including systems utilizing active and passive subsurface heat pipes.
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
The willingness and ability to work a 12-hour day/night shift with a 2 weeks on/off rotational schedule on the North Slope of Alaska.
Experience with surface processing equipment, down-hole completion concepts, equipment, and associated fluid hydraulics.
The ability to lift, to carry, or to push equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, as required to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Current certification in Helicopter Underwater Escape Training, or the willingness to attend training to receive this certification.
A minimum of intermediate computer skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

Certification as a universal technician in refrigeration through the Environmental Protection Agency.
Experience in the operation of and regulations pertaining to MMS wells and DOT pipelines.
