Health & Safety Manager

Health & Safety Manager   Tyco Fire & Security is a Fortune 100 company.  Tyco Safety Products/Ansul, a division of Tyco Fire & Security, is headquartered in Marinette, Wisconsin and supplies a global network of approximately 1000 Ansul trained distributors, supported by 30+ field sales offices.  We are the market leader that offers a full line of fire protection, suppression and special hazard solutions for all types of fire suppression and extinguishers.

 

We are currently searching for a Health & Safety Manager to be located at our Marinette, Wisconsin facility.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Marinette Operation in all aspects of occupational health and safety in addition to supporting Worker’s Compensation, site security and the Environmental Department.

 

Ø  Provide health and safety related guidance to the entire manufacturing operation per local, state and federal regulations and Tyco EHS policies.

 

Ø  Communicate with site management and the Tyco EHS Departments on all health and safety issues including all required reporting, notifications, audits, inspections and presentations.

 

Ø  Write safety related policies, procedures and audits.  Conduct health and safety training.

 

Ø  Work with the contract guard service to manage the site security.

 

Ø  Assess all incoming chemicals for hazardous characteristics within the Hazard Assessment Process (HAP).

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Ø  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.

 

Ø  A minimum of 5 years of directly related Environmental, Health & Safety experience.

 

Ø  Prior experience in security management and behavioral based safety is preferred.

 

Ø  Knowledge of Hazardous Material Training-Industrial Emergency Response Operations/Technician Level is preferred.

 

Ø  Training in first aid, CPR and AED is desired.

 

Ø  Certification as a Safety Professional is preferred.

 

Ø  Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
