Auction House Receptionist and Sales Assistant

The Sales Assistant provides administrative support to the Sales Manager and his staff. The Sales Assistant projects a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction. Each interaction between the candidate and our client should leave the client feeling that it was a positive and special experience. Candidate must be highly organized and have excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle multiple tasks and have exceptional written and verbal skills.



Skills/ Requirements

 

Qualifications: Be courteous, prompt, and timely, thoughtful and have good attention to detail. Leave an impression that speaks positive volumes about the Company.
Demonstrates the ability to manage their time effectively using a time management system. Be able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and research skills. Providing impeccable customer service to our clients as 1st priority. Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member Communicate effectively both internally and externally i.e. check email, forward to appropriate parties and reply timely with priority to editing requests or technical support requests. Innovation and creativity in the form of continuous improvement to internal processes. Possesses strong ability for multitasking and leadership. Must be competent with Microsoft Office Software and possess above average PC skills. Must be able to learn new information at a quick rate.Type 45-50 wpm.Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills including ability to prepare documents.Detailed oriented.Strong analytical ability.Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRoute phone leads as instructedSell services to walk in clientsPrepare contracts and new account kitsProvide phone support for sales staffMaintain schedule of Sales Manager and Sales StaffCreate and modify documents using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPointMaintain hard copy and electronic filing systemsComplete departments contracts, truck pick up requests, any needed research and/or tasks, and assigned project based work, including but not limited to: Correspondence to prospects and clients Preparation of sales proposalsPerform general research, clerical, and project based workMaintain stock of forms and literature and other documents for sales staffIn addition to these typical duties, may perform other duties as assigned and required

REQUIREMENTSHigh School DiplomaMust agree to work at least two weekend days per month for auction eventsReliable transportationNo felony convictions
