Acquisition Management Analyst (5214)

Job Description Plans, coordinates and/or performs activities associated with the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures. Applies acquisition management knowledge and experience in one or more of the various phases of the acquisition management program lifecycle, including source selection, fielding and sustainment. Assists government procurement agencies to define proposals (RFQ's) and qualify vendors. Plans, organizes, and assists in managing critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of systems, subsystems, and equipment. Assists in the implementation of program direction by assisting in the coordination and integration of aspects of systems acquisition such as engineering, procurement, financial management, environmental management, configuration, test, manufacturing, and integrated logistics support. Devises strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and process issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving acquisition/program planning, control and execution. Assist in preparation, review and integration of selected milestone review documentation. Knowledge of DoDI 5000.2, NSSAP 03-01 and other DoD directives is required. Assist Government with conformity to the primary objectives for AFSO21 with respect to Enterprise Resource Planning.
Job and pay level depend upon education and experience. Certifications may be required or may be considered a plus. Multiple job levels may be available from Entry Level, Intermediate, Mid-Career, Senior/Lead.
