Operations Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate production of U.S., European, and China plants and manage manufacturing capacity planning and utilization.  Dotted line reporting of other Advanced Circuit Materials Division Operations Managers.  Lead the team charged with establishing Asian manufacturing capability.  Implement systems to optimize manufacturing and ensure consistency between plants. Establish sharing of "best practices" between plants. Implement consistent quality and manufacturing plant.  Coordinate introduction of new technology into production on time and with CPK's of greater than 1.33. Drive Six Sigma efforts within CAN operations. Drive manufacturing improvements. Lead effort to improve manufacturing responsiveness and service provided to customers. Manage the utilization of global capacity including safety stocks and obsolete inventory. Improve the handoff of jobs from development to production.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Ten years operations experience to include engineering, production leadership and equipment procurement. Experience managing operations with multiple plants and multiple locations. Customer focused individual with superior skills in the areas of analytical thinking, consensus building, empowerment, strategic thinking, and constructively dealing with conflict. Flexible and open minded individual with an appreciation for cultural differences and doing business outside the U.S. Demonstrated ability to set and achieve high standards as an individual and as a leader. Demonstrated ability to persevere and succeed in the face of significant challenges and ambiguity. Willing to travel up to two weeks per month including international travel. Strong practical financial background as needed to manage an international, multi-plant operation. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA. Experience managing Asian and European operations. Experience in a materials related business. Six sigma Black Belt. Experience establishing manufacturing facilities outside the U.S.
