GRANT WRITER/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR to $65-70K

Job Description:
Medical research organization in downtown L.A. has an immediate opening for an Assistant Director to manage their outreach department. The primary goal will be to raise money to jump start the outreach program. Duties will include: (1) Lead the organization's community outreach program, (2) Develop and maintain successful activities for fund-raising from federal agencies (NIH), private foundations and industries, (3) Help organize the organization-sponsored local, national and international symposia. MUST HAVE the following skills: (1) Grant writing, (2) Excellent communication skills, (3) Proficiency with Word, Excel, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Publisher, (4) Web page construction/design, (5) Ability to handle multi-task. The ideal candidate will have the relevant experience, and 5+ years of experience as an Executive Secretary. Nonprofit and extensive grant writing background is HIGHLY desired.
