2 Income Managers (Fundraisers), Roanoke, VA

We have an exciting opportunity available for 2 motivated Income (Fundraiser) Managers in our Roanoke, VA office. One position will serve the Smith Mountain Lake community and the other position will serve Montgomery and Craig counties.

 

Responsibilities for this exciting position include: recruiting, cultivating and sustaining volunteer relationships and community presence in support of our mission.  Management and implementation of community-based, special fundraising events; develop business plans for successful implementation of fundraising events. Responsible for engaging and empowering volunteer and community leaders to support fundraising efforts for ACS. Professionally and effectively represent the American Cancer Society and its mission to the public volunteers and other entities.

 

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must be a self starter with proven leadership and relationship building skills, goal oriented, effective decision maker, team player and have the ability to work independently. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work effectively with community leaders and diverse groups. Successful volunteer management, community organization, sales and/or fundraising experience required. Valid driver’s license required. Some nights, weekends, and travel required.
