POSITION PURPOSE

The Federal Contract Administrator is directly responsible reviewing contractual agreements with the Federal Government to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal Regulations as to apply to our FSS Contract; including by not limited to:  The McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act, The Various State-County & Local Wage Determination Acts, Federal Acquisition Regulations, (F.A.R’s), F.S.S. Contract Management, The Department of Veteran’s Affairs – Department of Material Management Policies & Procedures and Regulations, The Wide-Area Workflow Financial Payment System, (WAWF), etc.  The Federal Contract Administrator must be comfortable working long hours on the phone; can work under pressure; meet deadlines; can work independently and as part of a team and able to empower others.  The Federal Contract Administrator must have (or be able to develop) a working knowledge of the skills used by pharmacist and pharmacy technician employees in each pharmacy setting.  This position requires working out of the Skokie, IL office daily. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReviews all service contracts with our various federal facilities on a nation wide basis to ensure compliance with Federal Labor, Contract, Material Management; and all other applicable Regulations Governing the management of F.S.S. Contracts Works with the Federal Department Manager to federal bid solicitations are in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Works with the Federal Services Coordinator, to ensure compliance with awarded contracts Assists the Federal Department Coordinator, with booking and confirming all orders and enters Pharmacist employees into computer database Assists with the training of Regional Sales Managers and Regional Managers; relative to changes in federal contract regulations and keeps them informed on the nuances of federal sales and assists with the mentoring of  their knowledge & development in this area Ensures correct contract data is properly communicated with each facility, in coordination with the Federal Department Manager Serves as liaison between government facilities and RPh on the Go,  in gathering all pertinent paperwork relative to contract processing and regulatory requirements. Ensures the Virtual program is in compliance with Federal RegulationsEnsures candidates submitted to various federal facilities, have their federal regulatory paperwork completed.Works with the Federal Department Coordinator to process annual or other periodic forms and reports for compliance with federal governmental regulations (i.e. VETS-100 Form, etc.)Utilizes a willingness and ability to work, communicate and form partnerships with all support departments in the mutual achievement of goals Works with the Federal Department Manager to extend contracts when needed Attends all training and other operational meetings as required Adheres to conduct outlined in published RPh service standards Able to understand the personal commitment associated to providing quality customer service Remains open to continuous learning in development of pharmacy knowledge Other duties, special projects or assignments as assigned

 

Duties specific to Virtual PharmacyMaintains system that supports the virtual pharmacy operation in compliance with federal regulations Serves as coordinator between National Accounts and the  IT department to ensure system compliance with federal regulations

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Required qualifications:



Education:  Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business – or related experience

Experience minimum:  3 years experience in federal facility management

  Proficient in MS Word and Excel for the PC or Mac
