Military Exercise Planner

Summary
The Military Exercise Planner plans, coordinates and executes training simulations and exercise support for multiple Army installations.
Specific Duties:
* Assists in planning, coordinating and executing Digital Battlestaff Sustainment Training (DBST), and Generates exercise training scenarios.
* Supervises and performs routine analytical tasks regarding: assessments of DBST and supporting simulations; identification of requirements; development of operational tests; development of collection plans; data collection and information management; compiling and analyzing observations and simulation generated data; database maintenance; identifying issues and developing insights; and developing and presenting feedback products.
* Prepares staff papers, white papers, and brief senior Army leaders.
* Provides Reachback research and reference support to all worldwide requestors of information utilizing resources from various CALL and other Joint and Army repositories using NIPRNet and SIPRNet search engines, links and other online resources, to include the classified, NATO-classified, unclassified restricted CALL Databases, as well as the use of collaborative software such as the CALL Request for Information (RFI) system
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years experience as a trainer/training specialist with military programs to include a minimum of 2 years experience planning, coordinating and executing simulations supported Army training exercises and analyzing model and training results required.
Additional Requirements:
* Familiarity/experience with Observer, Controller, Trainer, in the role of facilitator and/or the data collection, and providing input for or to lead/conduct After Action Reviews
* Understanding the Army Force Generation Process, Training Development and Management Process and Exercise Life Cycle Stages
* Extensive knowledge of the Army's training system; doctrine and tactics and techniques; and Army Operations across the spectrum of war
* Ability to travel up to 25%
* Ability to perform shift work
* Ability to successfully complete drug screen
* Possession of an active SECRET clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a US Army training capacity and/or as a TRADOC school instructor preferred.
* Former field grade officer with combat arms, military intelligence, and logistics experience desired.
* Graduate of a service staff college equivalent to the US Army Command and General Staff College desired.
* Command experience of a battalion or equivalent size organization, or held a position of equivalent stature preferred.
