Acquisition Project Analyst

Key Role: Assist the client with developing and evaluating acquisition strategies, perform related analyses, and develop and review related documentation. Provide defense systems acquisition expertise in support of the Afloat Networks program office. Provide subject matter expertise support to a DoD client in a defense systems acquisition program and with acquisition management planning. Develop acquisition-related guidance and provide policy analysis for the client. Serve as a reviewer of all program acquisition documentation for the program office providing recommendations for approval.

Review acquisition program information submitted as part of a program’s milestone decision package and other program reviews and perform milestone review planning and analysis. Research and track all higher-echelon guidance and mandates defined in the DoD and Navy 5000, JCS 3170, and 6212 document series and provide current updates and recommendations for implementation as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications: 
-3+ years of experience with defense systems acquisition
-Secret security clearance
-BA or BS degree
 
Additional Qualifications:

-DAWIA or a related Certification preferred

-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Knowledge of FAR and DFARS preferred
-Knowledge of DoD 5000 policy and documents preferred
-Knowledge of CJCS JCIDS documents preferred-Experience with the Navy Systems Command and SPAWAR preferred
