Security Analyst

The Security Analyst position encompasses a wide range of Information Security and Risk Assessment duties. The ideal candidate will monitor our systems for security vulnerabilities and coordinate successful solutions. This position will work with other departments to maximize productivity while maintaining overall security.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring Firewall and IDS logs, providing analysis to the team.

Research new vulnerabilities and malicious software, reviewing the companies’ potential exposure to each.

Learn python for use with current penetration testing tools.

Assist in developing departmental toolsets for daily use.

Work with other departments on a daily basis, providing advisement and assistance when needed.

Analyze access control requests, making informed decisions about appropriate access.

Evangelize security throughout our organization.

Keep informed of company and departmental policies

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of experience in enterprise development is preferred

Knowledge and experience with programming languages such as Java, XML, Perl, Python and C/C++

An understanding of common program vulnerabilities

Industry accredited security certifications are required. The candidate must have or be willing to obtain all of the following certifications, Security +, SSCP, CISSP

High degree of professionalism.

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.

Proven team player.

Ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees/management.

Demonstrated ability to handle high levels of stress.

Ability to stay focused on the task at hand, ensuring that timelines are met and operations are not adversely impacted.
