Product Manager/ Director of Product Management

Growing Viral Video Company, PureVideo Networks, seeks Senior Product Manager / Director of Product Management

 

PureVideo Networks is a Los Angeles based media and technology company that helps people find, watch, share and create compelling videos. Founded in 2004, the company owns and operates StupidVideos.com and GrindTV, branded online media destinations focused on humor and action sports, respectively, as well as PureVideo Search, the web’s first meta-search engine for video.  Funded by Softbank Capital, PureVideo Networks is growing fast and needs a talented Senior Product Manager/ Director of Product Management to lead product development for all of the company’s verticals.

 

As Director of Product Management, you will lead the company’s product initiatives from ideation, to execution.  The Director of Product Management will work closely with the General Managers, Content, Marketing and Technology departments, to drive product innovation, development and analysis.  This role requires a passion for media and entertainment, knowledge of online consumer products, and savvy in online video.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of good Information Architecture and User Interface design, as well as the user gen space and its impact on Web 2.0.

 

Job Requirements/ Qualifications5 – 8 years of Product Management experience Desire to work at an ultra competitive, fast paced, digital media company that runs rich user generated media destinations Excellent knowledge of MS Visio or other layout software and ability to create wireframes, site maps, and user flow diagrams Excellent  verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write Product Requirements Documents, QA Plans and Analysis Reports Ability to manage a robust product roadmap and work with key constituents to prioritize product enhancements, bugs and major initiatives Ability to work with multiple teams, specifically Technology, to communicate product requirements Ability to balance business needs with user needs and prioritize and plan accordingly Proven track record of leading major product initiatives from inception to post mortem Working knowledge of Html/Streaming video/PHP/Javascript a plus

 

 

Job Responsibilities:Manage and lead the entire product roadmap including initiatives for all PureVideo Networks properties: StupidVideos.com, GrindTV, Purevideo Search (purevideo.com) and more verticals coming soon Manage the product development process from inception to execution Constantly research products and market trends in the industry Write PRDs Improve on, and initiate efficient product dev processes which cultivate excitement and creativity Work closely with all departments including company  President and COO to communicate progress, roadblocks and solutions Build and grow team, including mentoring more junior members of the team
