Director, Oracle Database Administration

As an Oracle professional, you will support a 24 x 7 data service center and dynamic web site. This position requires skilled management of a team responsible for high volumes of complex data transactions and requires a commitment to high availability. Extensive background with 9i and 10g administration with GRID, RAC and OEM, and Oracle Financial Applications R11i is required. Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems and standards is key. The perfect candidate must also be a self-starter, team player, and possess good leadership and communication skills.
Job Description:Establish standards, procedures and automation strategies for tools and monitoringUnderstand complex business processes, the relationship of the database with respect to those processes, and the resulting support and architecture requirementsMentor and develop current group on practices and methodsProvide strong leadership to a group that performs ongoing database administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, tuning, installation, backup/recovery, and data migration of Oracle databases running on Solaris/Linux servers in multiple environments. Maintain and develop corporate Oracle Financial Applications R11i infrastructure.Work closely with Project Management, Software Development, QA and Production to coordinate product release. Prepared to share on call and shift duty for 24x7 support
Requirements:Must have a minimum 7+ years related experience preferably with Oracle 8i/9i/10g administration Working experience on Oracle Financial Applications R11i.Proven experience on Oracle advanced features, such as RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, partitioning, streams, replication, and parallel processing, is required. Demonstrate strong working experience of database administration, backup and recovery, modeling, tuning, monitoring, and security in the last 3 years. Solid understanding of database and data warehouse design is essential. Candidate must hold a B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.
