Contract Web Designer

WEB DESIGNER (contract 1-3 months)

Our clients in the Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale areas are looking for a versatile Web Designer to help them create truly knock out high-profile Web sites.

Candidates need at least 3 years of experience designing large corporate sites with both informational and transactional capabilities.. Perfect candidates will have strong design and technical skills with an emphasis on user-friendliness and accessibility. A background in print is a big plus.

The Designer will be responsible for creating the look and feel of each site from initial concept to completion, concentrating on the elements of visual appeal, usability, and navigation. He or she will also need to ensure consistency in templates and graphical elements and utilize site-wide color and typeface standards as well as accomplish the following:

Strategize to arrive at a cohesive vision and organization for both internal and external Web sites
Work with project teams to determine site, page, and applications requirements
Create test pages, templates and other graphical elements
Stay up-to-date on standards and best practices in Web site development
Manage the content pipeline
Ensure site design integrity and quality control

Of course, it goes without saying that you should be an on-your-feet thinker and able to meet stringent deadlines and conceptualize with multiple options and solutions for every project that comes down the pike.

Software applications needed for this position are
Photoshop
Illustrator
Dreamweaver
Flash (a plus!)
HTML
Knowledge of other Web apps a HUGE plus!
