As a Sr. Underwriter in the Western Underwriting Center (WUC), you will be responsible for underwriting Property and Casualty lines of coverage for financial institutions. You will be assigned a book of business consisting of $6.0 to $7.0 million in premium with a portfolio of multi-line $100,000+ accounts. Some travel may be required.

The successful candidate in this role will partner closely with service staff, loss control and claims and will be accountable for the retention, growth and profitability of your assigned book of business. In addition, you must have the ability to develop and analyze underwriting information as the basis for underwriting recommendations and decisions. Effective collaboration with branch management and the Zone Underwriting Management team will play a key role in your overall success.

You must be highly organized, team player with the ability to utilize multiple internal/external resources in an efficient manner and have exceptional skills in the following areas:

* Risk analysis and documentation
* Customer Service
* Marketing and sale of intangibles
* Negotiating
* Building strong relationships with internal and external customers

Education and Experience:

Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of underwriting Commercial and Financial Institutions insurance experience. Professional and Financial Fidelity experience is a plus.
