Sr Claims Specialist

This adjuster will assess complex commercial vehicle damage by inspecting damage, assigning labor costs, and obtaining competitive vehicle parts prices from vendors. Works with customers, claimants, vendors, file handling claims representatives, and repair shops to ensure estimates are accurate and sufficient to repair the damaged property to its pre-accident condition, in accordance with the terms of Progressive's policy contracts and relevant state regulations. Frequent travel is required. This position will be responsible for central and northern Alabama, and other surrounding areas as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

-Experience in estimating damage to class 8 vehicles.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Heavy travel to inspection sites may be required - possibly up to and exceeding 50% of
work time.
- Non-traditional; may work weekends and/or evenings; may work more than 40 hours a week.
- Effective team player
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Advanced knowledge of commercial vehicles
- Proficient in use of automated estimating systems
- Qualifies under Progressive's Fleet policy both at time of hire and throughout employment
