POSITION SUMMARY: 

Provies administration of non-Workers' Compensation claims, including field investigation.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a Liability Adjuster to join our Liability team! This position is located in Phoenix, AZ.  If you have 5+ years of General Liability Claims, possess exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, then we want to see your resume!


 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide promt evaluation and investigation of all claimsProvide field investigation when needed or arrange for such investigation if outside our service areaInput claims data to system and keep currently updatedInput billing entries to billing system on each claim for all clients on annual administration fee scheduleReview and process all vendor invoicesRetain legal counsel and coordinate handling of case with assigned attorneysAttend mediations and arbitrationsNegotiation with claimants or their attorneysProvide regular status reports to client and carriers including prompt reporting to excess carriersProcess and review all claim systems reports to client

 

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 5 years recent Auto and General Liability Claims. Public Entity experience a plus.  Some field work required, but primarily in-house.

 

Computer Skills: Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills and experience, including ability to type and use word processing programs to prepare reports.

 

Language Skills: Ability to write reports in clear, consice language and interview parties and witnesses. 

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to quickly evaluate claims and determine course of action needed to resolve each claim.  Ability to apply past experience to properly reserve and determine value of case.

 

Other Qualification: Must have clean driving record and own vehicle to perform field investigation. Arizona Workers' Compensation indemnity claims handling experience a +.  Must have Adjusters licence for the State of Arizona.
