Farmers Insurance - Agency Contact Representative

Key Person involved in the growth and development of a Farmers Insurance Agency 

 

 

Position Description:

The Agency Contact Representative is a very key position, responsible for increasing the acquisition of new business from existing clients and new prospects.  The primary function of this position is scheduling appointments for the Agency Manager.

 

 

Responsibilities:
Schedule sales and coverage review appointments with existing and potential clients
Approach potential clients  by utilizing phone or e-mail contacts
Maintain detailed records of all contacts and planned follow-ups
Maintain appointment calendars
Confirm each appointment in advance via phone or e-mail
Coordinate external marketing
Assist in creation of marketing plans
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports
Assist with all other special projects as assigned by Agency Manager

Exceptional people skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent time management skills
Strong work ethic with a "can do"attitude
General proficiency with MS Office and Internet
Previous inside sales or telemarketing experience
Fluent bi-lingual skills a plus

 

 

 

Compensation:

This is a contract position with an Agency Manager and offers an hourly wage between $8 and $12/hr based on experience with the possibility for additional performance based bonuses. Training and support is available from both the agency and the district office.
