Advanced Sales Life Insurance Marketing Assistant - First Protective

First Protective, a leading distributor of life insurance, annuity and investment products to insurance agents and financial planners is searching for an Advanced Sales Life Insurance Marketing Assistant.This position will provide a highly personal and highly responsive resource to our key clients helping them through the sales process to make reliable recommendations to their clients and assisting the case management staff as necessary to ensure that cases are placed.  Because this position will involve competitive analysis and working with both the agent and the carrier (or carriers) to ensure that business is placed, the ideal candidate is someone who is results-oriented, has a strong sense of urgency, is flexible, creative and understands the sales process from the agent’s perspective.  The candidate for this position will work extensively with carriers and agents and will be able to work with professionalism and enthusiasm under time deadlines.

Duties will include:

·  “Packaging” life insurance cases including spreadsheeting carriers and providing recommendations with supporting detail

·  Providing assistance to producers on how to “sell the case”

·  Analysis of policies and replacement opportunities as well as rated cases making appropriate recommendations

·  Advanced sales illustration support

·  Quick-Response to problem cases with emphasis on finding appropriate and “sellable” solutions

·  Marketing carrier and product information to the agents and field managers

·  Phone support on the marketing assistant ACD line/call center.

 Qualifications:

·  Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in the life insurance industry required.

·  Field experience as an agent is preferable

·  Knowledge of advanced market life insurance sales concepts

·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·  Proficient Internet skills required for use with the Protective Life website, illustration systems with Protective Life and various other carriers and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.  Also desire experience with advanced planning software tools.

·  Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, written communication and teamwork skills.
