A&E Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Technician to serve two of its Racine business units, A&E Hand Tools, a designer and manufacturer of high quality hand tools servicing customer needs worldwide, and Eckmann Pressed Metal, a precision metal stamping operations specializing in deep-drawn stainless, custom spun and split metal pulleys and fast engineering prototypes. The position requires candidate to possess all tools of the trade.

Job Purpose
To maintain production and utility equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding and daily-routine checks of equipment and plant facilities because machinery is critical to our production and success.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Essential Job Functions
· Analyze, install, troubleshoot, repair, build, rebuilt, replace parts, and maintain a wide variety of production machinery, equipment and physical building structures including ordinary electrical/electronic controls and circuits, piping and mechanical equipment or systems
· Perform all maintenance and repairs on CNC, Vertical and Horizontal machining centers and manual-type machines
· Develop, manage, and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Schedule, performing and recording all maintenance work including oiling and greasing of equipment
· Provide safe, clean and orderly work area
· Operate fork lift and hoists
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
· Thorough knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical operations
· Skilled in safe operation of hand and power tools
· Ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve complex technical and process problems
· Excellent organizational skills with ability project manage, multi-task, prioritize and meet multiple project deadlines
· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
· Excellent communication, listening and relationship-building skills
· Motivated, resourceful, self-directed, ambitious, enthusiastic and attentive to detail.
· Creative problem solver to assist with design generation and resolution
· Ability to work independently and with a team.
· Professional, positive demeanor with sound work ethics
Education and Experience
· Two to five years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
· Experienced and knowledgeable in machine shop fabricating, electrical, pneumatic/ hydraulic and welding
· Thorough knowledge of machine, stamping and casting operation; dies and components
· Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints with testing and measurement skills
· Experienced in operating Forklifts and Hoists
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in high places from ladder, lifts, etc
· Ability to utilize proper body mechanics bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis; greater weights with assistance
· Ability to walk through plant, possibly 3-4 miles/shift
· Ability to work standing 90% of time
· Ability to bend, lift, twist, turn, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and work in tight spots and unusual positions for extended periods of time
· Ability to work off-shifts
