PC Technician

 

Job Summary

Responsible for technical support of LANs, and workstations in 6 school locations. Also work with other technology staff to train end users on all technology initiatives. Provide telephone support as required.

 

Essential Functions of the position

Provide support for the LAN, workstations, E-mail systems and Internet connectivity in a Microsoft and Cisco VOIP environment. Perform maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting. Perform workstation installation, planning, maintenance, documentation and backups. Product research, recommendation, and installation of software, hardware, and supplemental network components. Work with users and PC Technicians to configure workstations and resolve workstation issues. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.

 

Working Conditions

Office environment. Travel to local schools as required

 

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to analyze and interpret data. Microsoft background active directory experience. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and organize effectively in a fast paced environment. Ability to work in a team environment. Initiative is key with an ability to adjust focus and set priority for subordinates. A team player with a willingness to document and train end-users as well as peers.

 

Education

A+, Netplus, or equivalent experience.
