Network Analyst

This position has the following responsibilities: Plan, implement and support all Network Infrastructure and Software. Support the end user community. Plan and implement new technologies in accordance with plant needs and corporate direction.  Maintain high availability of systems.  Participate as a member of the Corporate Network Technologies Team. 

 

1.  Plan and Implement Network strategies that support the corporate strategic plan and provides for all operating locations.

2.  Be available at all times (24/7) to provide technical expertise and support to solve critical problems that arise within the Network Technologies area of responsibility.

3.  React to and resolve assigned Helpdesk calls within a reasonable period, to include completing adequate procedure and resolution documentation pertaining to the call.

4.  Monitor progress and insure on-time delivery of all Networking Systems.

5.  Plan, Implement, and Maintain Networking Systems that are consistent with business strategies.

6.  Assist with the development of short and long-term plans for information capability including architecture, hardware, software, human resources, and organization for all business locations.

7.  Assist with the integration of all information technology systems by managing resources in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and progression paths.

8.  Work with management from your business location to identify current and future information needs and opportunities.

9.  Strive for implementations that are as transparent as possible, and minimize inconvenience to customers.

10. Search for and establish methods to eliminate recurrent problems and reduce required support time.

11. Participate in and on occasion lead assigned Network Technology projects in a team environment, integrating and utilizing the skills, expertise, and knowledge of internal and external resources.

12. Work through the Director, I.T. –- Infrastructure to administer the Information Systems budget and assure adherence from all departments to budget and organizational policies.

13. Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.

14. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

15. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database server[s].

16. Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s].

17. Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.

18. Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.

19. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
