Desktop Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Work directly with end-users solving PC related problems.  Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.  Install software and perform desktop system upgrades.  Assist and train Helpdesk analysts in solving end-user PC related problems.  Work closely with other groups within the department to find solutions to end-user issues or problems. 

 

Requirements:

 

Have a working knowledge and experience with the following operating systems:  DOS, Windows 95/98, NT, 2000, XP, Linux and preferably Macintosh OS X.  Any Macintosh desktop support or server administration experience preferred.  Extensive knowledge of PC hardware, printers, operating systems, software and a good working knowledge of networks.  Possess excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills.  Willing to research and train on new PC hardware, software, operating systems and printers to keep skill set current.  Ability to work in team oriented environment.  Four year college degree or university program certificate or two or four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Any Microsoft, Linux, Novell, A+, etc. certifications are a plus.
