Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Web developer/programmer with excellent skills and experience in developing complete Web applications. A complete working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript is a must. Database experience using Access/MYSQL/SQL as well as programming experience with ASP.NET and Visual Studio is required.  Experience with Ektron CMS400, CSS, XML/XSLT processing, ColdFusion, ASP, PHP, and Flash programming is desired.

 

Responsible for 1) The development and maintenance of Web based software applications (Internet and intranet), 2) Management of the Ektron CMS build/deploy process and 3) Research and understand all the functionality of the Ektron CMS400. The Web programmer is expected to be able to determine customer requirements, write and review software specifications according to company standards and create new or modify existing software or tailor 3rd party applications to satisfy those requirements. This individual performs moderate to complex tasks with limited guidance. This individual will participate as a member of the Web development team and will add new skills as required to accomplish assigned tasks.

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

1.Develop and document software application requirements and specifications to our client's standards in collaboration with end users.

2.Code, test and debug Web-based software using HTML, .Net, JavaScript and CSS.

3.Attend staff meetings, report status to supervisor and manage projects to a timeline.

4.Collaborate with other development projects inside IT and diversify skill sets as needed.

 

Knowledge & Skills 

1.Proficiency in HTML, tables, and style sheets/CSS, JavaScript.

2.Experience with relational database systems, specifically, knowledge of SQL is required.

3.Expertise in Web programming best practices, including patterns, programming standards, testing, debugging, and change management techniques.

4.Excellent interpersonal and communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills

5.Effective customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and time pressures.

6.Must be able to self-direct and operate independently within a team environment.

7.Problem solving and ability to research and present solutions.

Education & Experience 

BS/BA degree Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 3 - 5 years related work experience coding in HTML and ASP.Net. Will consider professional experience in lieu of college degree.
