Specialist, Onboarding/Offboarding

This position is responsible for the administration and facilitation of the New Employee Orientation/New Leader Orientation programs. This individual will design, plan and conduct the orientations in partnership with talent acquisition and the AELN to maximize assimilation into the American Express SDN as well as to ensure a smooth welcome and transition into the company. In addition, this individual will be accountable for business analytics and data reporting on exiting employees. Each specialist will be accountable for this within the scope of their geography and report into the Director RL, SDN People Leaders in each respective location. Responsibilities include:
Designing and deploying a highly planned and structured on-boarding process) in partnership with BB Six Sigma team for the employee population in a specific operating center.
Developing an informal approach to assimilating new hires into the SDN culture
Partner with ERG in analyzing data and trends in exit surveys
Make process improvement recommendations in both the on-boarding / off-boarding processes
Deploy communications to hiring leaders and new employees regarding responsibilities and information beneficial and €śjust in time€? for front line leaders €" ensures consistent and visible presence.

1 to 3 years of solid HR experience
Proven facilitation skills with experience in making formal presentations to a variety of audiences, including management.
Flexible and able to work nights and weekends as work duties require
Proven project management skills- able to develop detailed project requirements and consistently manage multiple work streams for executable results
Track record of demonstrating initiative in partnering with others to innovate business processes
Undergraduate degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

Good relationship skills to build credibility with the business and HR colleagues
Ability to relate to a broad associate population
Project management skills to ensure multiple processes are managed well
Analytical and interpretative skills to assess and measure trends and themes
