Plant Training Coordinator

PLANT TRAINING COORDINATOR

 

Are you looking for a great opportunity where you can demonstrate your training skills and experience plus be able to see your impact on quality and production?  AGC Automotive Americas Co. is looking for a Training Coordinator in its Alabaster, AL plant.  Globally, AGC Automotive is the world's largest automotive glazing supplier with 30% global market share. It has the best overall global presence, covering over 90% of the automotive OEM supply channels.  This position will interact with the major automobile manufacturers.

This is a NEW position reporting to the Human Resources Manager.  The selected candidate will utilize proven teaching skills and training programs while working closely with the production and quality departments to assure that the most current job techniques and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are being utilized.

 

Can you answer YES to these questions?

· Are you able to train new associates the skills to perform a quality job safely and efficiently?

· Can you work with the HR Manager and Production Managers to develop administrative policies for the training programs?

· Do you have the ability to lead the design of the training programs and update them as needed?

· Would you like to stay abreast of the latest training techniques and skills while receiving on-going professional development?

· Are you interested in implementing state-of-the-art computer based training?

 

If you answered yes, then we need you to have: 

1)  A demonstrated background in instructional design utilizing learning objectives and performance criterion based assessments.

2)  A strong knowledge of the manufacturing processes including SOPs, quality standards and process improvement.

3)  Demonstrated ability to learn job skills quickly and then instruct others.

4)  The ability to motivate, communicate and instill performance and continuous improvement in others; someone not satisfied with the status quo.

5)  Experience managing multiple tasks and juggling competing demands.

6)  Demonstrated ability and desire to teach others; ability to explain steps and processes in a clear and logical fashion. 

7)  Strong written and verbal communication skills

8)  Excellent computers skills with a particular emphasis on Excel, Word, PowerPoint or similar; typing skills at least 25-35 wpm.

 

We want you to have:

2-4 years of training experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated involvement in productivity and continuous improvement initiatives, and exposure in quality initiatives and quality measurements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred, training certifications in various programs (e.g. Achieve Global, DDI, etc.) a plus.
