Human Resources Assistant Manager

Excellent Opportunity for an Experience HR Professional with manufacturing/warehousing background!

 

New South Express (NSE), a division of Midwest Express Group, located in Talladega, is a consolidation,

staging and logistics facility supporting Honda Manufacturing of Alabama.

 

NSE is currently seeking experienced, innovative and team oriented candidates to fill the position of

Assistant Manager, Human Resources.  

 

Responsibilities: 

§  Provide leadership to the Human Resources team

§  Insure highest level of Associate Relations service to all departments

§  Develop, educate, and administer policies and procedures

§  Manage staffing processes including contingent workforce

§  Oversee FMLA, Workers Comp and STD programs

§  Plan, promote, and monitor E-Circles and Associate Committees

§  Communicate and partner with temporary staffing company

§  Continuation of training and development of HR staff

§  Assure compliance with all federal, state and local laws

§  Develop working relationships and support to operations management

§  Supervise payroll function, audit and assure accurate and timely payroll administration

§  Orientation of new associates

§  Responsible for continuation of training for all associates

 

Requirements:

§  BA/BS in Human Resource Management or related field preferred

§  3-5 plus years experience in Human Resources

§  Experience working in a warehousing/manufacturing environment

§  Excellent understanding of federal, state and local laws

§  Excellent communication, associate relations and organization skills

§  Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office suite), exp. with ADP systems a plus

§  Progressive leadership experience

§  Must be able to work flexible schedules as needed to support 3 shift operation
