Cruise West is seeking an established travel marketing professional to lead our creative and driven Marketing and Sales Team.
The Vice President of Marketing Sales and Reservations directs and oversees overall marketing of Cruise West programs and all customer acquisition activities and functions, including but not limited to: product planning and development, reservations, brochure and collateral development, e-marketing, direct sales and marketing, travel agency and distribution management, public relations, and key account sales. Principal goal is to efficiently establish a marketplace environment conducive to sales of Cruise West products. Responsible for continuously improving the effectiveness of marketing programs, through constant measurement, review and adjustment. Accountable for managing and ensuring that department budget and revenue goals are met through constant analysis of fiscal activities. Develop and refine communication style and content standards. Provide focused but inspired leadership that is compelling to achievement of the brand promise. Manage several direct reports, with an overall responsibility for 50 employees in sales, marketing, reservations, and documentation. This position will interact with various departments including: administration, finance, and operations. Reports to CEO. Requires college degree, MBA preferred. 10 years thorough marketing experience in a management capacity, with a record of successful planning and implementation of strategies. Strong focus on channel sales, advertising, web and e-marketing, consumer direct campaigns, and collateral production is desired. Travel Marketing experience required, cruise industry strongly preferred.
