Events Administrator

Travel Technology Group, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Events Administrator who will serve the Event Housing needs for a prominent client of Travel Technology Group. While Travel Tech is located in Chicago, the position is located in Encino, CA.  This position will have direct responsibility for the overall Event Housing administration for two annual high profile conventions taking place in Las Vegas.

 

Travel Technology Group, Ltd. (aka “TTG”; aka “Travel Tech”) is a 22 year veteran and leader in the B2B/event travel services/technology sector. We deliver a flexible portfolio of technology, marketing, database administration, event registration and event travel services to event organizers and their event participants.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and capabilities:5 or more years relevant travel industry experience excellent client communication, analytical and organization skills experience negotiating hotel contracts and managing relationships with hotels excellent capabilities using business and travel transaction technology applications; Word, Excel, Apollo/Galileo, and COMPASS™ Reservation System, Travel Tech’s proprietary hotel booking software ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and deadlines excellent Customer Service skills are required extremely responsive as well as proactive available references ability to travel to Chicago for an initial training period of approximately 3 weeks upon hire

 

This position is generally responsible for maintaining optimal ongoing communications among Travel Tech staff, onsite staff, contracted event hotels, event participants and Key event exhibitors.

 

General tasks and responsibilities will include:Collaborating with event organizer staff to chose appropriate hotels and negotiate hotel contracts Maintaining constant communications with hotel personnel, event organizer and Chicago office Build rapport with event organizer staff and key exhibitors Building assigned meetings into COMPASS™ Reservation System Maintaining and distributing rooming lists to hotels Performing all operations Critical Dates tasks Manning the events onsite Travel Desk Assist with disseminating information to the Travel Tech Operations department Assist Travel Tech Marketing department with promotional pieces and housing forms Review each hotel contract and consult with staff attorney as necessary for any changes to contract templates and/or language Collect and manage all deposits received for show working with Chicago office Prepare post-show reports and commission summaries
