SUMMARY Plans, administers, directs and controls, under direction of the director, all unit activities related to resident/patient nutrition care and food service to ensure high quality standards of operation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops, updates and maintains policies, procedures and standards for the provision of optimal, cost-effective nutritional care to patients/residents. Implements, directs, coordinates and controls patient/resident food services to provide food service for customers, employees, patients/residents and outpatients. Implements and evaluates test trays, food tasting, portion control and tray line checklist programs to ensure high quality meals served at the appropriate temperature and in an attractive manner. Directs activities of the Patient Services Managers and Food Service Supervisors to ensure high quality, cost effective nutritional care to patients/residents. Coordinates and evaluates patient/resident food service standards to ensure patient/resident satisfaction with meals and nourishment’s and initiates action to correct any problems. Develops short-term and long-term goals and objectives for patient/resident food service to maintain high quality care and programs consistent with ARAMARK Healthcare and the facility’s goals and objectives. Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population. Develops, implements, and monitors inservice education programs for patient/resident services staff to provide documented continuing education and training. Manages and controls resources and materials to ensure quality and adequacy of supply. Resources and materials may include: Patient/resident menus; tray mats, tents and napkins; satisfaction surveys; and nutritional supplements. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other facility departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care. Manages revenue generation for clinical services to monitor activities and revenue produced and participates in the budget process within the unit. Assists with recommendations and maintains a proactive human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage/benefit administration and compliance with established labor regulations and personnel policies and procedures. Maintains established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations. Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation, client contract and within ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy. Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with ARAMARK Healthcare, government and accrediting agency standards, regulations and codes. Performs all other related duties. This position is located at Saint Agnes Medical Center: As Fresno grew northward and the hospital outgrew its facilities, Saint Agnes Medical Center relocated to its present site in north Fresno in 1975. From the original 75 beds, Saint Agnes has grown to treat tens of thousands of patients each year.

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree is required plus 2 years experience as a Clinical Dietitian or equivalent of an Associate's degree plus 4 years experience as a Clinical Dietitian.
Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and Licensed Dietitian status is required if residing in a state with licensure.
Excellent communication, management and leadership skills are essential.
Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff.
Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
